Pinocchio

Image
A lesson in Pinocchio's falsehood. We all grew up listening to fairy tales.  And in all these fairy tales, there is the folk history of Pinocchio the puppet. A dream puppet, a  moppet with adventures, and a marionette whose nose grew when he spoke a lie! I think the most powerful message our parents have given about lying is that if we mention it, our noses will get longer. And as innocent kids, we have always believed in the horror of the long nose and never dared to lie. However, there are some questions that binds me to Pinocchio's long nose. Why did it grow larger? What’s the reason behind it? By reading the Pinocchio series something I realized was the distance and communication gap occurring while he was telling lies. His slightest lies keep him away from the people he loves, the long nose does not even make him ashamed, but Geppetto one of his creators as well. The long nose establishes a morality which drives you away from the people you love and admire. It makes you s...

Finding The Silver Lining

Image
Life is so unknown to every one of us in so many unusual ways! One is never certain about how far, how good or how mysterious one’s life can be. Although looking at this fact, we all around the world witnessed an extensive environmental change. ‘Something that’s life taking, but it’s also something certainly worth experiencing.’ This never-ending pandemic has taught us one should always take precautions in life for the betterment of life. Because anything can happen at any time, none can predict. However we, unfortunately, realized a little late that we humans are all bound to each other’s warmth. The warmth that was always unappreciated. We never bother about the quality of time we spend with ourselves or in the end there was no time. Though being in this lockdown many of us found the hidden silver lining of ourselves. Memories — a tender part of our life which no one wants should be lost but for a while, we desperately missed our fade memories and experienced an urge to make...

Mental Health

Image
'Its okay to be not okay'  “You’re only given a little spark of madness, you mustn’t lose it”.  In today’s era this sentence has lost its meaning; people nowadays have forgotten to respect others' decisions and choices in life.  The fear of getting judged has reached those restraints that none of us are confident enough to speak up. One thing I tend to observe everywhere in my mates, teachers, family and even strangers, is the level of anxiety they contain.  Anxiety is equal to stress and when it hits the boundaries, depression and severe mental illness starts taking place. 1 out of 4 people experiences mental health issues around the globe that means someone you know may be struggling with mental illness. It’s okay to be not okay, if we all can understand these 6 simple words life can be not just a little but a lot easier for everyone with or without mental health issues. If we all could just understand that being weird or standing out from others is okay, there is ...

Twilight at Greenhurst

Image
Meet the characters of  Twilight at Greenhurst Reading for me is like living the life of characters, indulging and learning from them. I passed through a wonderful book named Twilight at Greenhurst which inspired me in so many ways. I lived the life of the main character Asiyah, a beautiful teenager who went through so many hardships but never lost hope. The journey of Asiyah made me realize that no matter what happens one should always stay positive and find happiness within. Saba is one of the most enchanting characters in the book. She tremendously played a sweet yet aspiring role by staying beside Asiyah through hardships. Although she was all sheltered with love and affection, she always held Asiyah’s hand and never left her side. While I let you meet those wonderful characters, I’ll take the advantage to tell you about the creator of these characters and the author of the book Miss Maryam J.K. One of the most inspiring personalities I have in my life. The book is based o...

Imagination

Image
An Imaginative Philosophy  “ Imaginations have a different kind of existence in a human mind” The word  ‘imagine’  is different for all of us. It’s a particular kind of human sensibility which can’t be similar. Above all these the most fascinating, natural combination of dreams and imagination is unbreakable. It’s even said by so many great philosophers that Imagination is the beginning of a reality. A reality created by the dreamer. Although every dream is itself an imagination which we wish to turn it into realit y. Love, drives your attention so focus on those goals and desire for success and doing what you love.  Instead of having the knowledge of the cruel world which practically pulls us down at times; the power of our imagination push us upwards to achieve the unbelievable and takes us to the top. Imagination is the power that makes us penetrate through reality. We step into the lands of imagination, the relaxation and happiness is neither...

Junctures of Life

Image
LONGEVITY Of SMALL JUNCTURES IN LIFE. There are times in which you enjoyed the most but regretted later on, these times are the most hurtful. However, these juncture always has the unrequited feelings inside you which none can predict. Those feelings aren’t always love, it can be anger, jealousy, hatred, admiration or a sweet thought for someone you weren’t able to tell. Although you find escape from all these emotions by holding hands of the ones who loves you.   These instants in life are unpredictable you can never know one can appear without any disclaimer given.  There are times where these disclaimers in life leaves an impact on and gives us all some lessons for life. And sometimes it remains as those forever fold pages that never unfolds.   One thing which I observe is the longevity of these junctures, as well as the wish for the longevity. Because at the end what’s last for is yours in the very end. ❤
